This home has not only the original furniture but also the owners original belongings including clothes. It is also free, and only takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Well worth the stop.

Easy to find, sufficient parking. Signs say the grounds open at 8, we were there at 8:30 and it was still locked. Left and came back, but it is rather dissapointing when you are trying to maximize sightseeing time and see some outside things and they are closed. Docent was friendly and knowledgable. House in nice condition.

We visited for a Geocaching event on the grounds but decided to tour the house as well. The guide was extremely helpful and the house is a pure joy to visit. The history behind it and the artifacts on display were fascinating. Be prepared to climb stairs, there is no elevator.

This is quaint jewel full of interesting artifacts and everything in the house was donated from the owner's family. The on site guide gave a brief but comprehensive summary of the home's history. She was also available to answer any questions we had. I have been here for almost 5 years and am glad I took the time today to... More

Because of a social event, we also toured the house. Lots of historical artifacts and restorations from the late 1800's really made for an interesting and enjoyable tour. My favorite was the different sets of porcelain dishes and table settings.

We had a sweet docent give up a snapshot tour, the other option being a 20 minute movie. All the belongs were donated along with the house and gardens. A very nice display of clothes worn by the owners.
