This is by far the most beautiful and diverse ride while in Utah. From the rock cliffs of Zion, to pine and aspen open range woods (watch for the cattle) to smooth white and red mountains and then just white mountains. Just an amazing ride,...More

We took Rte 12 a number of times. It is a wonderful way to see the countryside in the area. With a car of photographers, progress can be slow as almost every turnout has a new view.

Most unreal road ever. It seemes like a dream now and then. You will want to return over and over. Eagles soar.

It’s a beautiful trip and should not be missed. Be sure to watch for cattle in the road around Boulder Mountain - open range.

Scenic Byway 12 is fantastic. A different beautiful view around every corner. Mountains to canyons. Awesome.

Beautiful scenery that is never monotonous. The vista points allow you to see miles away. Some bird watching opportunities as well.

Whether you travel this road simply to get from point A to B or the scenery of the road is purpose, you won't be disappointed.

Hey Bunny, When we drove through 12 (September), I saw a few bike riders but it is out of my league. The road is paved (but some areas have no shoulder (other than dirt) and there are quite a few hills. I cannot... More

This year the foliage is just starting to change color and will continue for 2-3 weeks. I think it is a little late this year, usually begins the 2nd week in Sept thru the month. Heavy rain reduces the color and duration.
