The hike was said to be easy to medium but for those who don't hike a lot like me IT'S A DIFFICULT HIKE. Some part of the trail is steep and by the cliff with nothing to hold on to. We started to hike early in the morning last September 9 and by the time we're on our way back... More

Well worth the hike. I would rate it as easy to moderate. Spectacular view at the end of the Lower calf creek trail where the falls are.

A must for anyone visiting southern Utah, the hike to Calf Creek Falls was easy, but did have some climbing if you are a little unsteady on your feet. Amazing to see so many people making the climb.

Pleasant, easy hike back to Lower Falls. Just gorgeous. Arrive at midday to best photo opportunities.

What's not to like about this hike? Nothing strenuous, but just enough up and down to keep it interesting. Beautiful peaceful hike and beautiful waterfall! We couldn't have picked a better time. Met one couple on their hike out, then we were at the falls alone for about 15 minutes. Stayed long enough for someone else to come along and... More

The trail is about six miles round trip and moderate to simple. the slick rock walls of the canyon are inspiring and the small creek sounds are comforting. I can get hot in there and take water.

We had hiked the Lower Calf Creek Falls 3 years ago, which is a level trail with no difficulties. Last summer we decided to hike to the Upper falls. The parking lot to the trailhead can be accessed between mile markers 80 and 81 of the Route 12. You have to go down (150 m difference in altitude altogether) on... More

We took our two girls age 9 and 3 and really enjoyed it. The falls are beautiful and we enjoyed the pictographs as well .

I am speechless about a previous review that said "Also there is very little in scenic value along the way." This hike rivals a hike in Zion National Park, with less crowds. If hiking amid towering, gorgeous rock formations has no scenic value, then I don't know what does. We saw a few young children on the hike; I would... More
