I went after being told I had five days there on my epic pass only to find I only had two. I also found the place to be very very crowded. I had to go two hours before even the lodge buildings were open to get half way decent parking. I have never been to a ski area that kept people locked out of the lodge until so late. I can not imagine I will ever go back. Parking was very hard, and far. Nothing there was easy from parking to having to carry gear and ware ski boots etc. LOng lift lines. Park City and other area resorts are much more user friendly and have much more ski terrain to offer.

We are sorry to hear your visit did not meet your standards. We appreciate you providing your experience in detail, so we can improve in those areas for the future. The Epic Pass has 7 days and the Epic Local Pass as 2 days at Snowbasin. As it is the first year with this partnership we are continually working to improve our communication with Epic and guests to inform all guests of their benefits. Our lodges in the base area open at 8 am daily and the lifts start turning at 9 am. We have not seen issues in the past with this timing but will take a look at our base area lodge operational plans. Snowbasin has one of the best parking situations in the area, with all free parking, multiple lots and multiple shuttles to bring the guests from the lots directly to the base area. We hope you will join us again to see the improvements, even if you said you might not come back. All the best.

Believe there are much better ski resorts near Salt Lake City. One issue was the lack of usable restrooms on a Saturday afternoon. That was absolutely ridiculous. One place closed restrooms at 230, one at 300 and another available had a line a mile long. They closed these for an event that evening yet lift ticket paying patrons like me were left with nothing. Also there certainly was a lack of grooming on Saturday. That was corrected by Sunday and even better on Monday. Some employees, particularly the ticket window, were just plain grouchy. Most of the employees in the main cafeteria were excellent as well as the lift and gondola helpers. Lift lines were minimal or non existent.

This was an amazing resort with two blue bird days to ski. First off, the employees are all so friendly and helpful, from lift tickets (reserve on-line for a discount) to the lifts and resort. The views are amazing and just sitting outside as the sun sets is a joy to behold. The trials are well groomed and give a variety of options for green, blue and black. The lunch area can get very busy, it has much to choose from and very large portions.

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience with the ski program. I would NOT recommend the instructors and would NOT let your children ski with them. They do not know how to work with youth in a supportive and constructive way. We had to build up my child to enjoy skiing again after the instructor stated how poorly my child skied in front of the other children and parents. She yelled at my child on the slopes and I am completely spoiled by her behavior. The worst part was the treatment of the program manager after calling and reporting the numerous incidents. He treated me with the same attitude that the instructor had treated my child. Please do not waste your time or money on this program and do not subject your kids to an awful experience.

This is a great place for families and kids in the off season. Both little ones and adults will love the gondola ride up the mountain. We saw deer and baby moose on the ride up. The wild flowers sprinkled over the slopes were beautiful and the walking trails wide enough for parents to walk holding the hands of toddlers. Be aware many people have dogs on leashes. Reservations are required for the dining room at the top of the mountain.

I skied here on a recent weekday and was very impressed with the variety of runs and the groomed conditions. In addition, the nice lodge and great lift and rental service make Snowbasin a fine new Epic pass mountain. On a weekday during Sundance there were no crowds at all.

They have no integrity. They will scam you for a 20 buck drink. I wonder what they would do for more expensive commodities. I bought the refillable mug because I was told it was refillable every year. The next year they decided to not honor old mugs. If they will lie to me for a $22 mug, I wonder how they would screw you on a "season pass" lift ticket. I spoke to a manager about it. Instead of being apologetic he tried to justify it and got sarcastic with me.

While I don’t disagree with the positive reviews about staff and facilities - I do disagree with the positive reviews about the snow. It was absolutely terrible snow a huge disappointment. I skied three runs on ice. I left went thirty-five miles south and found fresh snow and great runs. If you’re into skiing and enjoy good snow this isn’t the place for you. If you like to take skiing vacations based off the amenities this place could stay on your list. Don’t plan your trip in hopes of a good winter snow storm - go elsewhere.

We are pleased you found our staff friendly and the facilities to your liking. We are sorry to hear the snow did not meet your standards. We wish we had more control over the weather, but we do average 300'' of snow a year and that snow is part of Utah's trademark, "The Greatest Snow on Earth". Early season our mountain operations team works hard to supplement natural snow with one of the most advanced snowmaking systems in Utah. We hope you might join us in the future on a snow day you see fit but pleased you enjoyed the amenities that complement the snow experience.

I wanted to rave about a great ski instructor named Carolyn! I am in the learn and earn program and am generally a timid skiier, and just getting comfortable going down the blues. Carolyn coached me down my very first black diamond last week! While it certainly didn't look pretty, I am so stoked to have had the experience and definitely credit her great coaching and feedback to getting me down the mountain :). She gave me a lot of good things to think about and helped to make me aware of some of the bad habits I developed that were holding me back. Every Snowbasin instructor I have had has been good, but if you want an effective instructor who will push you out of your comfort zone and make you realize what you are capable of, Carolyn is your person!

Today we and bunch of friends went to Snow Basin. I have been a boarder for over 25 years, and before that I was a skier for 30 years. So yes I am not young but I am athletic and a good boarder. I found Snow Basin a very dangerous place to ride. The people that were there were rude. They were going very fast, mind you I am not slow but they made me look like I was standing still. The speed is only part of the problem, the real problem is how close they would come to other people at these high speed. No curtesy at all. there was no supervision on the slopes. The whole day I did not see one patrolman. This was the experience of our whole group, not just me. Even though I have a season pass for the mountain I doubt I will ever go back. I would not take small children to this mountain it is too dangerous.
