The free Little Hollywood Movie Museum , a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt non profit, exhibits a collection of actual movie sets as the centerpiece of its exploration of how the sleepy little town of Kanab became the back lot for movies like The Outlaw Josey Wales, Planet Of The Apes & Stagecoach and a haunt for Hollywood stars like Frank Sinatra, John Wayne, Charleton Heston, Clint Eastwood and more recently, Kiefer Sutherland and Willem Dafoe. Both on the big screen and on TV in such classics as The Lone Ranger, Gunsmoke and Lassie, Southern Utah defines the way we see the American West. The Museum is set behind Trading Post of the West, a gift shop focused on Made in the USA merchandise including fair trade Native American Arts and Jewelry, Stetson Hats and Abilene boots. From fine gifts to fun souvenirs Trading Post of the West offers a great selection at fair prices. There are big clean restrooms, snacks, drinks and a picnic area. Kid and pet friendly. Whether you have 15 minutes or over an hour, it's a fun place to stop.

There was some construction when we went there; so not sure if we went at the wrong time. We got to see a very old movie about movies that were filmed in Kanab and how the museum came about. It is free.

Yup, she showed up when we were getting new gravel to replace what was washed away in the 3 floods we suffered this past summer. None of that would have prevented her party from enjoying a tour of the movie sets or reading the interpretation. I can't really respond to the 'very old movie' comment except to say that the... I found this to be a bit of a tacky tourist type attraction. It's in the back of a souvenir shop. I went just to say I saw it.

Great tourists attraction. Great for locals too. There are old movie sets out back and it is fun to go looking through them all. A lot of the places are walled with old newspapers so it is interesting to see that. The museum/gift shop is awesome and no matter how hard you try you'll spend more than you want to... More

Free museum to see some sets from western movies. Actually the only one I was familiar with was "The Outlaw of Josey Wales" but we still enjoyed walking around and since it's free, even better.

Not a lot to do in Kanab so we went in to pass some time and we thought it might be a good place to buy some local crafts. Admission to the museum was free and the movie sets were interesting and nostalgic. We were disappointed that many of the items in the store were made in China and India... More

This exhibit is free but it's just a replica movie set. It is basically a tourist trap to get you into their store to try to sell you over priced souvenir. Don't waste your time.

Hard to argue with a visitor who pays so little attention that he calls our actual movie sets 'replicas'. If you're looking at this you're probably interested enough to know that our sets are the real deal. We have a short 'Virtual Docent' that explains the background of the sets and the Little Hollywood phenomenon that brought filmmakers here for... More

It is mildly interesting and free (donations requested). It is a work in progress if it has rained recently you need to avoid the ubiquitous mud

Little Hollywood Musem has some movie props that makes a little town. It is pretty neat to see how sets are made. There is not much to do in Kanab Ut so this does give you something to do. You don't need but about 15 minutes.

We stopped in here spontaneously and walked around for a bit. It's kind of creepy but interesting to look through all the sets. If you're in Kanab anyhow, it's worth a stop. Otherwise, don't plan a trip for it.
