This road with a dirt bike and knobby tires would be no problem, however, I road a street bike with street tires through it and would not recommend unless you are a strong rider with sand skill. The scenery is beautiful but literally could not...More

After reading about the beautiful Cottonwood Canyon Road drive and getting assurance from a park ranger that our little Nissan Versa non-4 wheel drive rental could navigate the road, we took off! WOW! What a surprise! Lot's of ups and downs and sandy areas. The...More

A definite must if visiting Salt Lake City, as it is just a 10 minute drive from the city and the scenic byway provides some amazing views and hikes. Worth stopping at Solitude, Silver Lake and then continuing to Midway.

Cottonwood Narrows is a short slot canyon along Cottonwood Canyon Road in Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. It's an easygoing walk in a narrow, sandy-bottomed wash. You can return in the narrows or hike back on the road, although you might regret that choice with...More

This county maintained road is very beautiful but the places just off it are even better. Candy land is the prettiest spot along the road. Allow at least two hours for driving time one way

must see - must take time to get out and hike - not strenuous - but awesome - as always - bring water and appropriate clothing - bugs / snakes were not an issue

Beautiful drive with amazing rock formations and a lovely slot canyon. The best formations are at the north end of the Canyon hike.

First of all, it is recommended to drive this canyon from Cannonville to Big Water (North to South and down hill) Secondly, the gravel road is well maintained as long as you don't decide to drive it during a flash flood... Most important, it is...More

Hi! I don't think you can get much information about the condition of the road, because it's a gravel road and it can suddenly get pretty extreme after heavy rain. We had a 4x4 vehicle so it was pretty easy to get through... More
