I always drove by here with my nephew and was curious of the place. This museum is awesome! It is much larger than it appears from the outside and there is lots to see. I went with my niece and nephew today and I think...More

One thing I appreciate about Utah is its general popular dedication to museums. It means that you can find small privately-run museums like this one, that have surprisingly large, well-organized and well-displayed collections. The highlights in this particular museum are the gem and mineral room,...More

I thought it was going to be just a small town museum and I was wrong. Great artifacts in many different areas. Seeing Butch Cassidy's gun was pretty cool. Also the Timp Cave rocks were worth seeing.

Outside the smaller-sized older-town authentic building is a log cabin-type building. Right there near the museum is the community recreation area with a pool for all ages. And also the quaint old-town Main Street with its 100 year old buildings is just a few hundred...More

This is not the Smithsonian, nor is it a high-end institution. It is a historic, local-interest institution, so set your expectations accordingly. Now, with that said, it's a great place with lots of interesting exhibits. Just the perfect type of place for this community.

During my initial planning, we weren't originally planning on visiting this museum, but with the all inclusive package, it allowed us to enjoy the museum. Our grandson loved the dinosaurs in water table and even digging for dinosaur bones in the digging room.
