I have been in and around the Salt Lake Valley many times in my life but had never visited the site of Saltair. I knew somewhat of the history and had not really seen the Great Salt Lake up close, so we decided to go...More

The Saltair is the 3rd building so named on the Great Salt Lake. The first and second being a beach side resort. This is a concert venue but does have a gift shop and parking. An easy place to stop and take pictures or walk...More

Used to actually swim in great salt lake years ago. Wanted to get cooled off one hot day. Went out to Saltair. No more beach. Have to walk a mile away to get in lake. Used to be concessions stand to get snacks. Too many...More

We found this by accident while visiting the Great Salt Lake. We found its history very interesting, particularly as I come from Saltaire in England. Would love to have seen it in its heyday but even now the building still retains some of its original...More

This was a pleasant surprise. The store manager told us the history of the place. Very interesting history. The Great Salt Lake used to come up underneath the Saltair Pavillion.

I took my boys to see Zedd here last year and it was great! The place was packed and it was a great event and concert venue! Bathrooms were clean and security was adequate. I would definitely see another concert here!

The Saltair Pavilion is not special in and of itself. It's a venue for concerts, and inside looks like a giant mosh pit. However, it is situated right off of I-80 where the small gift shop functions as a rest stop and the area around...More

We took an interesting tour to the Great Salt Lake and the Saltair Pavilion, although one could visit both independently. There was a scale model and photos of the Saltair pavilion in its heyday, displays were informative, and the gift shop offered souvenirs of salt...More

My family happened to go by this place and wanted to go inside since it said Saltair Gifts. We were looking to buy souvenirs and it said it opened at 9AM. We waited over 15 minutes after 9AM and it never opened. 3 other cars...More

This was a real highlight in it's former days before it burnt to the ground in 1925. This rendition of it is used for rock concerts and is not much of a tourist attraction.

Don't think so. The SLC airport is about 10 miles away. That's about as close as public transport will get you. Taxi or Uber, etc. to/from SaltAir.
