We walked around this park for a little bit while waiting for Yeti fest to start. The trails were nice, but there wasn't much to see or do that we noticed. It very well may have been the time of year we were there, too,...More

My first visit was to participate in a rendezvous in 1989. So much fur trade era history and the role that the Ogden and Weber Rivers played. They have a Traders' Row open to the public on Saturdays.

We decided to go here so that the kids can go canoeing. They were really nice and had life jackets for each of us and taught us how to use the oars. It was really cheap a dollar fifty per hour per person. They also...More

Don't get me wrong, I like Fort Buenaventura. It's a fun spot in central Ogden to see a bit of history. The park is nice and it's got a great spot on the river. In addition, the fort itself is fun. Built on the original...More

Beautiful area adjacent to ogden. Canoes to rent, great camping, lots of cool events. Right behind the fort is the River walk which extends in both directions and is a fun place to walk or hike.

The dog park area is really great. The river runs next to the trails and there are a lot of trees! A great place for a walk away from it all and dog friendly.

We visited on the day after a concert of some kind. As we strolled around we found there were little camps everywhere. It was hot and the pond was stagnant. The water wasn't pleasing and we were afraid of mosquitoes. We visited on Sunday, and...More

We thought the fort would be a good spot to visit on our one day in Ogden. But when we got there, the fort was locked up. The park attendant was too busy on the phone to let us in, so we left without seeing...More

It is just a park with a couple of baseball diamonds and a very small wooden fort. The staff, if that is what they were, said nothing to us.

Hi! I had a question about the hours the park is open. I went to the fort this past Sunday, in the later afternoon, maybe about 2:30 or 3:00 and it appeared to be closed! The gate on the bridge was closed, and it said "No Trespassing"! Now I was on foot, I wanted to see where the Centennial Trail led to, and I wanted to go down into the park. I didn't try to go past the gate and over the bridge, I didn't want to get into trouble. What are the hours on Sunday, or is it closed still?
