For 50 years this stately and historic depot served as a major hub for transcontinental rail service. Today, it remains a monument to grand rail stations of the early 20th-century and includes four museums: the Utah State Railroad Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Browning Kimball Car Museum and the Browning Firearms Museum.

Train enthusiasts will enjoy this museum as well as many children because of some of the hands on displays. In addition to telling the story of trains, it also includes a Cowboy Museum, Browning Rifle Museum and Car Museum. Nicely preserved walk down memory lane for young and old alike!

Got to finally get to the John Moses Browning museum after reading about it for a long time. Funny thing is I thought it would be bigger given his contribution to firearms design/development and the state of Utah. I would guess that the majority of the visitors to the museum complex are here for that reason so the other displays... More

We unfortunately did not check schedules before heading out the door and hit this place on a Sunday when it was closed. What a miss! However there were some big engines out front on display to walk around and if you have a train lover (or a young boy), this place is a must. We spent good 30 minutes walking... More

The station itself is beautiful, so the museums within are a bonus. Give yourself and any kids in tow a treat and spend a few hours in this treasure-trove of railroad, weaponry, cowboys, and historic autos.

This was my second trip here and this time I brought my wife and my grandchildren (4 and 6). They liked the model trains that run through the building, and were especially fond of the hands-on room for kids. When they get older they will return to look at the static displays of historic trains outside, and they will learn... More

The Union Grill is now located on the south side on 25th. The room is large. The food choices have improved. We ordered their 3 course meal for this special week. The food was all delicious and artistically arranged on the plate. The server was friendly and efficient. All in all a great experience.

I love trains and if you do you'll love this place. The museum inside was awesome, giving the history of the railroad in the area. Outside they had about 12 train engines you could see. The Browning gun museum was also here. It was fun to see what travel was like when the railroad was the way to go.

Loved the wide variety of each of the museums! For a family day pass it was only $15 for 4 museums. We were just driving by and thought it would be fun! It certainly was!
