The kids really had a good time here. Not too far out of town. Lots to see and some good hikes. The picnic tables were a great addition.

There is a small museum at the entrance to the quarry containing a history of the site and several models including one large one.The recent diggings are inside sheds about 250 yds down along the site and while one is locked the other one contains models of skeleton pieces which are placed in the exact location they were found in... If you are into dinos, then you will defininetly see them here, a work in progress. It is a bit os a schlep on dirt roads to get to it. Once you are there it is about a 2 hour activity, including, a little hiking, bring water with you

We stopped at the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry on our way to the San Rafael Swell. They have a small but very nice museum. The quarry buildings are fun because you get to see what an actual dig looks like. We also did the rock walk and loved getting to see dinosaur bones in situ. If you can, go first thing... More

In middle of no where but very informative. Staff was very helpful and took a lot of time. They don't have anything for kids who do the blm explorer book

Crazy long drive to get to, but very worthwhile...Amazing to see "real life" bones in their natural setting. Short walking trail to see more natural wonders. Plan on a couple of hours, mostly for the drive

Traveling back from Moab to Salt Lake City, we found the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry near the half way mark. A bit off the beaten path but well worth the 12 mile drive down a dirt road. Anybody fascinated by dinosaurs will find this to be a wonderland. Definitely take the Rock Walk. You will literally be walking amongst fossils. Loved... More

Interesting family detour. Small place. Not as expansive as Dinosaur National Monument but you can see fossils still in the ground.

A dirt/gravel road. You think you are nowhere and in the high desert. Then, boom, you are at the Quarry. Great displays, beautiful facility, friendly staff, really interesting walking trails and bones everywhere. A very worthwhile visit.

This site contains some very extensive dinosaur remains. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere. This is a site which should receive federal funding to upgrade facilities and perhaps make it a National Monument or Park. It is a hidden treasure, literally.
