Nicely preserved historic home. The guide gave us interesting information on the local history and settlement of the area. They were knowledgeable. My little boys even got interested in a few of the pioneer tools, so that alone made it worth it. Free, spend about...More

Step back in time and see how things were in a time when the pace was slower and more difficult to live. Interesting historical site.

I found this to be very interesting. The architecture and furnishings are in excellent condition and offer a lot of insight to the culture of the era. Well worth the time to visit.

It is an educational little place about some of the first settlers in this area. Upstairs is not handicapped accessible of course, but can see the downstairs.

How did these people do it? By faith in God. Carving a homestead out of this rock/sand wilderness is a tribute to so many. This free exhibit is well worth the time. Truly period pieces are freely displayed. And, you'll learn about true grit.

They actually have a website with all the info on it. They open at 10 am and close depending on the time of year between 5 and 7 pm.
