The weather wasn’t good enough to go for any hikes, but it was still worth the visit. We’ve never seen so many bison! We’ll definitely do the horseback rides the next time we visit. Looks like a great place to swim in the summer!

There is a $10 fee to enter. We really enjoyed Antelope Island even if we didn't see as many animals as we thought we would (remember, they are wild animals, this is not a zoo, it is not a guarantee that you will see them!!)....More

Antelope Island is a nice trip off the beaten path. Plenty if places to take in the beauty and capture pictures to remember it by. Did see a few buffalo in the distance. Knats were really bad, but that's nature.

The Great Salt Lake is NOT your community swimming pool. It is what is left of Lake Bonneville a huge inland sea that was 150 miles east-west and 250 miles north-south....all of northwestern Utah from west of Wendover, the current state line into Nevada and...More

We drove around for a couple hours and did not see one animal..None! Lot of birds and beautiful scenery to be seen, but had come specifically to see the bison. Was a bit disappointed.

First of all, great! If you go there right now and if it is still indicated there are gnats on the island, believe me take the head net, because otherwise it is hell to walk over there, especially if like me biting insects love you....More

Canyons, mountains, scenery abound in this State. Here comes another diverse landscape. The entry fee for seniors is $5 which is a real bargain for this day of hiking and driving. The gnats were a bit ferocious, so we decided to buy a mesh head...More

Absolutely lovely place! Amazing lighting for photography; the neutral palette of the landscape is very aesthetic. Wildlife are easy to view from INSIDE your car or on a hiking path (don't be that person who walks up to a herd of bison in a field...)....More

Go explorer this great island. Biking, horseback riding, numerous trails and dip your feet in the Great Salt Lake. You can explorer a 133 year old ranch, camp and if you have a boat sail around the area.

The majority of birds were by the lake. There were a lot of them in the shallow water. I would suggest early morning or evening.

They have not been especially bothersome for me, and I am one of those people who attracts insects of all kinds. I recommend visiting on a breezy day--on those days, bugs will be at a minimum.

If by "around" you mean to circumnavigate the island, no. There basically three paved roads: the one into the park from the mainland, which continues to a viewpoint and campground, a side road to the visitor center, and a... More
