Make sure you leave time to peruse the different bike and horse paths at the island. There are many trails that you can drive or walk or even ride your horse. The mountain views are amazing and you wont be disappointed.

Frary Peak is an uphill hike that you will want to do early morning or towards sunset. The views are amazing. don't go in the summer as it is hot and buggy

This is actually a good uphill hike, however the bugs were so bad when we went. It wasn't as enjoyable as we had hoped. Not to mention the only animals we saw along the way were small lizards.

First of all, the sides of the causeway are full of brine flies! You will want a carwash after you visit! If you are on motorcycle or bike make sure you have adequate face cover! There weren't any bugs on the Frary Peak trail (yet!)....More

This is a great hike. 4-5 hour round trip all in the sun so take water and sunscreen. Well worth the trip!
