What makes the doll collection come alive is inside a 3-ring binder that usually resides on the bench in front of the collection right up the stairs. This amazing doll collection features beautifully gowned and coifed figurines of the First Ladies of the United States...More

We spent a couple of hours with our grandson here.. while the real old stuff was exciting to us the “rotary telephone “ was a big hit with the grandson. Amazing that they have no idea how it works.. The quilt display was very special......More

This was a worthwhile stop - I think we spent an hour or so here and found it quite interesting. Lots of historical memorabilia from the area. The folks who put this together have worked hard to provide travelers with a perspective on what this...More

Individual displays can be interesting depending on your interest but the major weakness of this museum is that it does not tell an integrated story of the history of the area, just individual "episodes" in that history, presented on a stand-alone basis. Worth a visit...More

I love what they've done with the museum. The updated exhibits and displays are well done. Be sure to notice the Native American pots inside the triangle made by the display cases. Brilliant!

this museum had some really neat artifacts that you don't see everywhere. Their collection of old glass was incredible. The kids had fun playing morse code and running the electricity crank. There is a lot of history in this place, go check it out. Besides,...More

This is a delightful small museum. Ask a question about their local exhibits and you'll get a friendly detailed answer. Be sure to get the story behind the "bear skin" coat in the transportation area. Upstairs is a remarkable doll exhibit from the Centennial about...More
