Worth going to the top - there is a lift !!

OK maybe $5 is a bit steep (no pun intended !) to get to the top of this monument but it us worthwhile when you get up there and see the gorgeous view. It was a bit hazy that day... read more

It's hard not to miss this monument as you're driving through town. We happened to stop just as a tour group was getting back to their bus. We did't go up, but we did buy a few souvenirs from the shop. The workers in the shop were very nice and helpful.

Pretty cool tower overlooking both New York and New Hamphshire. You take the elevator which costs $5 to the observation deck. Be careful it's pretty windy up there because there are no windows. Nice gift shop.

An impressive monument that stands tall over the local landscape. Easily seen from a long distance away. Recommended by the locals who declared that at the top you could see three states; unfortunately it was closed the day we visited. Picture shows my wife at the base to give you a sense of the actual size.

Beautiful vantage point to see the lovely fall foliage. I'm particularly drawn to looking south over the church down the street. We stop here every time we're in the area and it never gets old.

Decided to check out this monument while we were visiting Bennington. It was worth the trip. The view from the top of the monument is awesome. It is also wonderful that you take an elevator to the top. No climbing stairs which was great. Our guide Mike took us to the top and then left us to take as much... More

We were touring around southern Vermont in our RV and saw this monument in a local paper. We wanted to go to a high place to see the fall foliage and gave it a shot. Looking at the monument, it didn't look very high and with the small openings at the top, it didn't look like you can see much.... More

The monument has a viewing platform at the top. Easily reached as there is an elevator. Lovely views of the surrounding area. Worth a visit.

An elevator takes you up to the top. Visited on a very windy day and were not able to spend a lot of time up there...so it was basically just up and down. The monument is in a very lovely area of Bennington and taking a stroll down a few of the streets is suggested. If you happen to be... More
