The carvings on the stones, hundreds of years old, are still as beautiful today as they must have been when first erected. How a community cares for those who have passed on speaks... More

Not an ordinary place of rest, here lies the patriots, people who sacrificed their lives to preserve the freedom we have to this part of New England.

I was amazed at the cleanliness of the marble stones and fascinated by the small signs indicating graves of historical personages. It was a great experience to visit the grave of Robert Frost.

This beautifully maintained cemetery is a treasure trove for history buffs. It is right next to the Old First Church and traces US history from Bennington's first settlement , the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, the industrial growth of New England and even Robert Frost. Excellent signage and historical markers make this spot come alive ! Strongly recommended for Fall... More

Combined with a visit to the church and a walking tour of the colonial structues in Old Bennington, you could spend a few hours without spending a dime and getting some scenic pleasure!

Lovely, well-maintained cemetery. People should spend more time visiting cemeteries and try to connect with the past. Be sure to visit Robert Frost's grave. Good place to stop after seeing the battle monument and the museum.

We walked around the cemetery. It was a peaceful walk. Robert Frost is buried here. Also there is a monument where Ethan Allen's home use to stand.

This place is neat to walk around and so full of history. Robert Frost is buried here and there are so many graves from the patriots at the Battle of Bennington. There are even graves of some of the Hessians who attacked during the Revolution. This should definitely be on your historical tour!
