So disappointing to see what Burlington has become: a scarey place for families at all times of the day with street people annoying most anyone and drug users everywhere. Police and counselors appear present but unable to contain the unsafe environment.

We came to town specifically for this attraction. It was a beautiful day and the walk was nice. We were just expecting a bit more in the way of shopping. What was available was super pricey (89 for a used/consignment, basic designer shirt?). Lots of...More

This is the highlight of Burlington, this three block no car traffic walkway with shops and restaurants on both sides of the walkway. There were many good restaurants. The shops were okay, I expected more locale flavor shops.

It's car-free and about six blocks long with a great variety of local restaurants and shops as well as the occasional chain store. Many of the stores are open until 8 or 9 pm so you can dine, drink and stroll. There are also several...More

If you love people, a fan of music being played by various types of performers, and the smell of food, then come spend a day on Church Street. Great shops, dogs being walked and sometimes other critters as well. It almost has a feel of...More

Great space for walking and visiting both unique small shops and popular chain stores. Lots of people walking the cobblestone pavement as the street is closed down to traffic. Check out the great mural with faces of important Vermont natives in the block between Cherry...More

Church Street has some great local stores. There's a few corporate stores interspersed amongst mostly boutique and locally owned spas/salons. There's a great tea house - Dobra Tea, a number of good restaurants, a small/local book store, some great clothing stores (although pricey), some outdoor...More

Be prepared to pay and pay and pay. There is not much unique about the Church Street Marketplace. It has become a mainstream downtown with little local flavor.

Not impressed. Other than the historic buildings it's just another outdoor mall with Macy's, Banana Republic, and such. Really disappointed to not find one souvenir shop.

We have a dog that we bring downtown during the outdoor eating season, however I am not aware of any eateries where a dog (excepting service dogs, of course) are allowed into the establishment. Sorry
