Take bikes and go towards lake Champlain. The section that extends out into the lake is a very special place. So beautiful!

The Burlington bike path offers spectacular views of Lake Champlain. The well -maintained path is used by bikers, runners, and walkers. It's busiest on weekends and during the summer. There are numerous places to get on and off the path so you can decide how far you want to bike/walk. It brings you near a variety of places to eat... More

Usually pretty clean, amazing views, and pretty safe. Great activity for the whole family. Can sometimes be a little crowded on especially nice days (because it's a great place to be!)

Stretching some 16 miles, I believe, this bike path is wonderful-- particularly on a nice sunny day. It's an old railroad bed that stretches several miles out into Lake Champlain with unmatched views and water on both sides of the narrow, 2 way path. There's a 50 yard shuttle that takes 30-40 bikes and bikers across the only gap on... More

Beautiful path with gorgeous lake views leading to or from the heart of Burlington. No charge to ride and bike shops along the way. Brings your bathing suit and stop at Leddy Beach for a swim!

Views of the lake and quiet, peaceful path through residential area. plenty of smiling, laughing folks. maintained by the city of Burlington Vermont. a multi-use pathway that leads to the Lake Champlain Island chain.

Only had an afternoon in Burlington. This topped my list of things to fill it with. Flat so kept the family happy and an awesome journey across Lake Chaplain (more of a sea really :)) We didn't cross the cut instead did an out and back which was roughly 20 miles there and back. We were pushed for time but... More

The Burlington bike path is a great ride along the Burlington waterfront. A bit crowded in the Burlington area but keep going all the way out to the Colchester Causeway. The Causeway is a converted train line that takes you through the lake. There is bike ferry to cross the cut. You can continue into the Champlain Islands - Great... More

If you like biking (or running/walking), you'll love this path, which (mostly) follows an old RR spur. Much of the time it's shaded and woodsy, other times you're in full sun. Includes (in warmer months) a bike ferry to Grande Ile (check with LocoMotion in Burlington for the hours/rates). Even a section on a raised platform, with a long bridge,... More

If you are in the Burlington Area, make your way to the waterfront. You can rent a bike and ride the entire bike path from one end to the other. Although that is a 20 something mile stretch the views are well worth it. Even if you don't want to bike entire path you are still able to walk it.... More
