Good fishing for Perch and Smallmouth at the south end. Big island in the middle with a great rope swing. Shallow sandy weed free beach, very kid friendly. Keep an eye out for the old snapping turtle, best seen from a SUP board. Won’t bother...More

Knock down the campground. Start over. The campground and its interior roads offer the antiquated design of the 1960s when the designs of campers were super tiny and people tented from their 1960s, woody Ford station wagons. Just as those vehicles have been assigned to...More

We visited this beautiful beach on a VERY hot day when we were just dying to get in some cool water. We picked the right place, for sure! Very clean, well maintained beach and not overly crowded. The lake is not too deep and has...More

Although the grassy area was crowded (esp shady spots) once I swam out it was beatific and secluded. I took a stand up paddle board and my family took a row boat and paddle boat and rode to the other side where a rope swing...More

Beautiful location but hiking is not well marked. We got lost after an hour as the markings just stopped on the upper trail.

Plenty to do at the campground/state park - lake beach, water sports, hiking. Close to many wonderful Vermont activities in and around Manchester, VT. Lean-to's make camping a little easier and rain less problematic. Family and pet friendly.

I've been coming here since I was two years old. Honestly, it hasn't seemed to change that much over the decades. Come lakeside and rent a kayak, row or paddle boat (affordably) and enjoy a picnic lunch at the many tables throughout. The setting is...More

Beautiful lake near both Manchester and Dorset. We went off season so it was cold but still glad we stopped! We saw paddle boats for the warm months. There's a sandy beach, shallow water great for kids to play on, an island, and beauty. Bathrooms...More

Yes - you will have to park at the gate before the parking lot and walk 1/4 mile or so to get to the trails - we did it yesterday!
