My nine your old daughter and I had our Disney vacation cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew....so we booked a last minute getaway to Eden Dog Sledding. Our cabin, Larkspur, was the perfect blend of rustic with modern conveniences. We were greeted by Polly (one of the dogs) when we arrived and she stayed with us as we explored. Jim and... More

I was planning a mini-anniversary getaway with my wife to Vermont and I wanted something unique and special. Words cannot describe the fun we had, if you are a dog person you should go... After a 45mins ride from Stowe we arrived to Jim's ranch. The moment we crossed the gate a dog followed our car to greet us. The... More

This was the highlight of our trip. We did the alpha tour with 2 young kids (ages 8 and 12), and we had the best time. The kids had plenty of time on the sled, were able to play with the dogs, harness them and give them snacks afterwards. They even got to watch them swim in the lake. All... More

This was amazing. Jim was so interesting. We were involved with the entire process of harnessing the dogs and hitching them for the run. The dogs were so friendly. The ride was so much fun and watching the dogs cool off in the pond was great. We loved giving the dogs their treats at the end of the run. Where... More

Excellent experience dogsledding in the summer on a cart with 10 huskie dogs through the mountains of Vermont! Jim Blair is personable, the dogs lovable and so well trained. Jim chats with you about the history of each dog, lets you assist in harnessing them then hitching them and then the rest is a heavenly race through the Green Mountains!... More

What a wonderful activity to do with four children under the age of 10 and five adults. It was about a 45 minute ride from Stowe Center and well worth it. Jim and the crew were as inviting and warm and willing to share all the knowledge you desired to hear. It was an unforgettable experience for the grandchildren...they were... More

My family and were guests of Stowe Mountain Lodge. On our last day of the trip we decided to visit Eden Dog Sledding. Since this is a year that Stowe has seen little natural snow, we weren't sure if any tours would be running. I spoke with Jim a few times, and he assured me they where he sits in... More

#6 on my bucket list was to go on a dog sled ride My husband gave me this wonderful gift for Valentines day and it was truly unforgettable. We had enthusiastic dogs with lots of energy, as well as a great guide. The guide, who was very patient, answered all our questions about the dogs and he also shared some... More

We went the day after Christmas in 2014 and had a great time. The dogs are happy pulling the sleds and contented resting with guests afterwards, For my wife and daughter, this was the #1 highlight our Vermont Christmas vacation, and my son and I also put it in our top two or three things in Vermont.

We booked through Umiak for a 3 hour dog sledding and snowshoeing tour and it was the highlight of our trip! The kennels are located about 45 minutes north of Stowe but it's not a bad drive. In the winter you will need four wheel drive or snow tires to make it to their location as it's remote just like... More
