We went with another family and kids. There is a large beach and swimming area on a small, not highly developed lake, mountain views, picnic tables, playground, rest rooms, and a short but moderately challenging hiking trail. It was post-season, in the Fall, so we parked across the street and walked in with no fee. Plenty of shade and sun. Immaculate. Beautifully maintained.

Visited this beautiful VT gem recently.
$4 entrance for adults, $2 for kiddos. The actual entrance has ample parking and plenty of picnic tables etc. Also bathrooms, snack shack, playground, area to grill, volleyball nets etc. Ability to rent kayaks and canoes on-site.
You could probably park down the road and avoid the fee if you wanted to- but worth it to pay and park and bring amenities with you for grilling and sitting by beach.
Beach area isn't too large but big enough to sit and enjoy with family.
Lots of picnic space

This is a nice Park. The Fee to enter the park is $4 per adult. The park is good for boating. A lot of choices of Boats. You can get a paddleboat, rowboat, Canoe or Kayak or double Kayak. They also have stand up Paddle Boards. The Paddle Boats are the Cheapest at $7 for a half hour. It is a very big lake for Boating. Also has a beach for swimming It is a very quiet and peaceful park..

Worth the trip. Traveled later in the day and had whole beach to ourselves. Enjoyed renting paddle boards with kids. Nice basic facilities and a great place for summer evening picnic.

Logging trail and gold mining. Waterfront and cemetery. History and scenic beauty. Camp Plymouth is one of those rare spots that bring us closer to our country's heritage. You can feel the history seeping from the ground.

This is a great place for kids and adults. We rented paddle boats and took the kids around for a ride. Then they swam for a bit and played in the sand. We got some food from the snack stand and let the kids play on the playground which is a nice newer metal structure.

Plymouth State Park has a lot to offer. It is a little gem in Vermont not far from a favorite ski resort. The state park has a nice swimming area. You can put your blanket or chair on the sand weather you like to sun yourself or dig sand castles or relax on the grass. There are shady areas with tables, a few benches to look out over the beach and a playground for the kids.
You can launch your own boat if you want. Some people rent the kayaks or paddle boats to see a bit more of the lake. The kids like to fish from shore. You have a little food stand to get a snack. Of course, the bathrooms and changing areas are clean.
The only reason I did not give this an excellent rating is because there was no lifeguard.

I noticed that there are some new faces running the park. I wish them well. Our family spent the day kayaking, paddle boating, fishing and dipping in the water. The water was still a bit cold for us but after this week of high temperatures, I think it will be a lot better.
There is a volley ball net set up so we got to have a family game. I like that there is a snack bar. The kids usually like to get an ice cream.

We stopped here to have a picnic lunch for the first time and found that this park is awesome! Wonderful sand beach on a beautiful lake with gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. There’s a large playground with up-to-date play equipment. There’s a snack bar, clean restrooms and nice changing rooms. They rent out kayaks and paddle boats, paddle boards and canoes. They have garden carts you can use to tote your beach and Lynch items to the picnic area from the parking lot. There are plenty of picnic tables and shade from many trees. There is no lifeguard on duty at the beach. We will be back!

Spacious park with many activities. They have set aside an indoor and outdoor room for your special occasions. Boat, kayaks and more for rent. Plenty of parking.

Is there a snack bar where you can buy lunch?

Hello everyone!
Does anyone know how much paddleboats are, and if swimming is allowed?
Thanks!

Swimming is allowed, it's quite a nice wee place to spend the day. the entrance fee is $4 per adult and $2 per chil. They have kayaks and stand up paddle boards to rent for ½ day & full day. I can't recall the fee but not terribly expensive. the pedal boats are only rented for a ½ hour and the fee is $7 plus tax.

This State Park does not have camping sites. There is a building for functions. There are a small number of cabins to rent. I am not sure if there is a field for organizations to have a camping function. You might go on line and get the phone number to call this state park.
