The Marlboro College Music Festival showcases a group of superb artists, each dedicated to her or his craft. The performance I attended was focused on chamber music, focusing on strings playing the works of Prokofiev, Ravel, and Mendelssohn. Each group highlights young artists, accompanied by a veteran musician. The performances are sublime. If you enjoy classical music and want to... More

In this beautiful setting a number of internationally recognized musicians are joined by professionals early in their careers to study and practice and perform the classical repertoire. check out the college's website; it will provide a much better overview than anything I can provide as the parent of a student starting out there. What I can say is that after visiting for Family Day this last week (Oct 20th, 2012) I was very impressed with the grounds, the faculty and the students I met.
