We just returned from 4 days of skiing at Stowe. The conditions were absolutely wonderful as we were there during Stella. Monday (before the storm) we skied on hard groomed, packed powder. We did the free tour of the mountain with our fantastic Stowe host Deb. The tour itself met outside of Spruce Lodge and lasted about 1 1/2 hours.... More

Been snowboarding & skiing here for over a decade and the recent construction and over development has really killed this place. There used to be parking over on the spruce (easy) side which was perfect for folks who needed rentals & in my case perfect because the dinning hall is there. Now you can't even park there! The prices are... More

My wife and I visited Stowe last weekend for a friend's birthday and went skiing on Saturday, March 11, 2017. We picked a terrible day as far as weather was concerned (overcast, windy, and temperatures well below zero), but we had already booked the trip, bought the lift tickets, and had one day to ski - so we made the... I really want to give this place 5 stars because the conditions were great and the setting was beautiful, the trails were great and the lift lines moved fast and you're under cover when waiting for the gondola B U T .....getting in and out of there is time consuming and super disorganized. I read reviews prior to going, so... More

Like so many other reviewers have said, when you're at Stowe Mountain Resort, you could be in Colorado...or anywhere else, for that matter, that welcomes you to a manufactured immersive mountain resort. Everything at Stowe Mountain Resort is okay. Bland, generic and expensive, but okay. The rooms are nice enough, the service is adequate, the food is so-so, but not... More

Our 1st visit to Stowe and it made me feel like I've been here before. It feels like Colorado! Anyway, we had signed up our 9 year old for snowboarding lessons. We arrived and it was packed! But, the process was very easy and well organized. My wife and I felt very comfortable leaving our daughter with the training staff.... More

The resort is gorgeous but everything is very expensive. Ski classes, daycare and obviously the lift tickets. We went to ice skate but unfortunately it started raining so we had lunch in the skinny pancake. A very fun spot with nice service and great design. Just be prepared to pay $50 for lunch that will last you an hour or... More

Agree with the mountain conditions described in other reviews. A few tips for first time visitors. 1) On a busy day, the conference centre parking lot away from the village is a better way to avoid parking lot traffic. 2) The easy runs close to the conference centre parking lot are ideal area for beginners with long and wide groomed... I grew up skiing out west, and I self profess to be spoiled as a result. Stowe is about as close as you can get to western skiing. The mountain is decently big with a lot of trails. There's a good variety of beginner and expert terrain, and the resort seems to be super family friendly. The newer section of... More
