Picked a bad day to go. Didn't mind the crowds as it was a holiday weekend but the views were all obscured by the fog. Nothing to be done about that. But the services at the top were pathetic. Too many people and not enough...More

My kids and I loved hiking Whiteface and Mt. Washington cuz we could get a ride back down with my wife who drove to the top and picked us up. Is that possible to do at Mt. Mansfield?

We snowmobiled here. It is very majestic with all of the snow. it is quite beautiful. The teees were snow covered and there were a few streams poking out of the snow. Pretty!

We love skiing and we love skiing at Stowe Mountain Resort which comprises Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak. It has great trails for everyone - green to double blacks. Because of its location it gets lots of moisture from Lake Champlain. It is easy to...More

There is so much to love about Stowe. The funky old school mountain vibe exists on the hill while the base area is modern and convenient. There are both great cruisers and challenging steep trails. Snow making is pretty good and grooming is top notch....More

Not crowded at all midweek. Buy lift tickets online and save money. Restaurant and view at top of gondola is fantastic.

Highest point in the state does not disappoint. Hike the trails in Summer and ski them in Winter. One trick I love is to access the mountain from Underhill in the Summer. Beautiful!

Bad infrastructure, needs to expand! Would not return, not the best ski experience. Lodge is way too crowded, outdated. Spruce lodge was new and nicer. Mansfield lodge is outdated.

We are non skiers but a highlight of our week in Stowe was a gondola ride to the summit. It was a hefty $58 for the two of us but the magnifcent view was worth every penny. It was a brutally cold day but clear...More

Maybe in the summer but not in the winter, but there is always the gondola... they have winter hikes in the snow, just call the adventure center in the base village.

The gondola takes you to the top of the mountain slowly and takes about 15 minutes to get to the top. I was surprised at how steady the ride is. However once you reach the top, we did get off rather quickly, although as... More
