We took the Ladles and Spoons Classic Sauces class with Chef John and we had a blast. We have taken another class with the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC. It was informative and we did learn, but in this class we learned and laughed. It was very relaxed and yet we were able to learn and cook five different... More

When my son and I walked in the door we were offered coffee. My husband was walking around outside with our dog. The people said that the dog could come in. I was amazed. I bought some beautiful linen dish towels, a tablecloth and several spices and some amazing concentrated vegetable and chicken broth. I am noticing another write up... More

Offered coffee, but had to ask for cream and sugar. Not very personable and had to ask questions about merchandise. You might increase your sales if you had more of a personality and were more excited about your products. Offered cooking classes, but after tasting samples, I think you may need to take some classes yourself. Don't waste your time.

For the cooking lover, this is the place to be. They have every gadget thought possible. They also offer cooking classes, where you can learn and enjoy different types of food. The store owners are very pleasant and will offer either coffee or tea, which is a nice touch while you are browsing.

Chef John is to be commended for not only his organization of the evening, but for the most delicious food, great instructions, and for making our evening so enjoyable. Our meal was one of the best we ever had in Mad River Valley. Fabulous Kitchen setting with great service and style. You can't get any better!!

The Store is a store with lots of wonderful little this and that's. As you enter the store you are greeted and asked if you'd like a cup of tea. Say yes and enjoy a warming cup of tea as you roam around. They also offer cooking classes.

I just took my 3rd cooking class with Chef John; my friend lives in VT and she arranged it for my birthday present. This is a great way to spend a few hours. The teaching kitchen is set up for 6 to 12 students, who sit across from Chef John as he outlines the day's menu. He asks for volunteers... More

Friendly staff-immediately offered me a water on a hot day. Beautiful table displays. Fantastic kitchen store offering everything from small appliances to lotions, linens to books, soup mixes to glassware. They also offer cooking classes. Amazing upstairs filled with antiques. Fun stop!

Do go here if you are in the neighborhood - really nice and great assortment of goods, enough to make a chef like me go crazy, wanting to buy everything. As we walked in, we were offered a cup of tea and coffee, nice touch!

Three of us signed up for a cooking class with John. The theme was "pot pies" and we cooked three different ones and then made a dessert with pastry on the top of the ramekin. John was very informative and patient with us and Ellen washed the dishes as quickly as we dirtied them. John accommodated both gluten-free and vegetarian... More
