At first, walking in....kindof sparse, but then your eyes open!

This place is hard to find, but once you do, it'll open your eyes. We walked in, and looking around, thought, "okay, nothing in this place." But right away, the owner came up to the counter and offered us a taste from a fresh pot of 3 teas. After sampling them, he started talking tea. I only knew about Orange... More

Thrilled to discover - after years of visiting the area - this perfect tea purveyor. If you like a variety of black teas, this is like mecca, but the tea-loving owner stocks all kinds of herbals, greens, and other varieties. You can even buy small amounts in actual tins, which is a real treat and makes things perfect for gift-giving.... More

This little tea shop was a little hard to find, but totally worth the search! The owner was fantastic and told us so much about teas and why he mixes the teas the way that he does! We bought tons of loose leaf tea and will be ordering online from his company in the future! Wonderful, especially if you already... More

Wonderful store, was greeted by friendly knowledgeable owner who offered us two kinds of hot tea and two kinds of iced tea as samples. Gave us a lot of information on the teas, will enjoy going back and buying on line.

Great little tea shop, owner was very talkative and knowledgeable about different teas. Some interesting tea-related books/items on display. Prices were very reasonable for hand blended teas.

I'm not really a serious tea drinker, so I mainly stopped here to get some souvenirs for my dad who likes tea. The owner seems like a very mellow (must be the tea) and knowledgeable person, and he gave us some free samples. (I could definitely taste the differences in the three varieties he had that day). The store has... More

We searched for this shop on our way through Waterbury. It's location is a little tricky to find I you're unfamiliar with the area. I'm glad we kept looking. The shop owner was very knowledgeable, and even if you don't drink tea you'll enjoy the quick visit. The owner took us out to his herb garden after we made our... More

A little difficult to find unless you're looking for it, well worth the trip. The owner is very knowledgeable about the history of tea, has different samples and a large selection for sale. There is also accessories and pleasant conversation. We learned quite a bit about the culture of tea, the correct way to brew different teas including length of... More

We stopped in at Liberty Tea Company and what a terrific visit! The owner shared his knowledge of the teas, as well as his garden outside! We had some delicious tea and left feeling great about our purchases!
