I thought we were visiting an older, family style Winery. It was a nice, comfortable tasting with the proprietor, who really knows her business. Not a fancy Winery but one with roots deep into Virginia Wine Heritage. We enjoyed the Chard, the Cab Sauv, the Barbera...More

I should have taken the advice of the people at Five Oaks Vineyard and skipped Burnley, but it was my last stop before I headed home after a day in the area. The spot is nice nestled among trees and the owner is behind the...More

Barboursville which we love was jammed packed so we decided to give this a try. The 2 stars is for the service as the lady was very pleasant and kind. The wines were dismal. In comparison to other wines in the area these aren’t even...More

This vineyard has been around for awhile, and you can taste it, especially in their reds. They have a fairly large selection of wines on their tasting menu and you can pick any combination of wines to try. They have a few varietals that you...More

We were making brief afternoon tour through some of the Monticello AVA wineries. We thought Barboursville was a bust (WAY over rated and disorganized mess), Horton was mediocre at best, so Burnley seemed in keeping with the theme of the day. Tasting room - When...More

Three and a Half Stars, would probably be more appropriate, but since that's not an option, I'm upgrading my review because of the nice lady giving the tasting. This is an older winery that could do with a little refurbishment. The window air conditioning unit...More

Good mix of dry and sweet wines. And only $4 to try as many as you want (cheapest one we did). Friendly staff. Glad we stopped. I would come again.
