Some good things first. It is nice to have such a large lake in NOVA. Not sure about the size of the lake itself, but it is 4.5 miles if you walk (or jog) around it. Also, you can rent row boats there if you...More

When I lived in Burke, VA I had the fortune of being within walking distance to this fantastic lake. After all these years and it has still retained its beauty and tranquility, a true testament to Father nature's essence. It is perfect for jogging/walking, picnicking,...More

There is a path around the lake that keeps the lake in view almost all the time. It is 4.7 miles long and has very little hill. It is mostly in the shade except for when going over the dam. I have jogged and walked...More

We started off the day playing disc golf with my 7 year old niece. We had a picnic and then she wanted to play miniature golf and take the short train ride. We spent over four hours here. She loved playing in the woods around...More

This lake is a benefit for the community of Burke. The walk round the lake is 1.5 miles on a prepared track. There are turtles and frogs in the lake, together with a resident Heron. There are play parks for the children.

What Lake Braddock lacks in size and remoteness it makes up for with convenience. Nested in the middle of suburban Washington DC is a small lake (or super-sized pond) that allows you to experience a touch of nature without having to drive an extended distance...More

When my family and I lived near Lake Braddock, I took my daughters fishing there. They had a great time. So did I. They had the biggest smile on their face. The date is a bit off but it's the closest date to our trip.

Great place to take a walk, a run or spend time with your pet and clear your head. Very diverse community with playgrounds, a pier and allows for small boats. The lake is for locals - not a destination.

Collect your thoughts while walking around the lake taking in all that nature has to offer. Many types of birds to watch and flora and fauna abound.

Small little "lake" is actually drainage for the community. Nice walking path around it was often crowded. Better to drive a few more miles to Burke Lake.
