A great public beach with free access and free parking. During the summer there are no dogs allowed from 9am-9pm. There aren't any big waves so it's great for kids as they won't knock them down or anything.

Cape Charles is a quaint little town & the beach is a nice attraction. There is a gazebo, a fishing pier, covered picnic tables, & restrooms/outdoor shower on the premises. The beach is just long enough to offer a decent walk. It is quiet &...More

This is a relatively small beach, but nice just the same. You can enjoy an outing on the Bay, serene and fun. It is clean and well maintained.

As always, this beach provides an unbelievable morning view to complement your coffee! Natural setting is tranquil. Nearby fishing pier and gazebo are wonderful accents. Restrooms at the beach entrance are wonderful ammentity. Showers there as well. Love sign perfect for photos as well.

We went earlier today (mid May) and my family had a blast. We went around low tide and I think my four year old had to run out almost 100 yards before the water reached his belly button. I was relieved that my one year...More

One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Soft white sand that goes on forever. Try and photograph the Cape Charles Lighthouse, it is amazing and has an incredible history. Originally built in 1827, and rebuilt several times.

The water is fairly warm in season and the beach is a delight. Cape Charles is historically interesting as well, being a planned community built for rail and ferry travel. An interesting side trip if you're on the DelMarVa Peninsula.

Visited when weather way too cold for anything except a brisk walk on the beach. Very clean, almost deserted (due to the weather). Very gently sloping with little waves so would be good for little kids. Good parking.

Shallow for yards and yards so fun for all ages. There were life jackets for little children. Pretty gazebo and small fisherman pier.

We were going to go to Virginia Beach in August but ended up checking out Cape Charles. We spent the entire day/night on the beach. It was super low key and after 5pm we had the beach pretty much to our selves. I cannot recommend...More

I wasn't looking for that so I don't know, but I believe that there was a pavilion. I don't know about reserving it but you could call the Cape Charles Police during the day and I'm sure they would be able to give you an... More
