Best beach for any family with young kids. Very shallow water, no strong current or rip tide to be concerned with. Large sandy beach plenty of room. Would recommend arriving before 11 on the weekends to park within reason to a beach access. They have bathrooms at the southern most entrance.

This is a very nice beach with lots of new sand. It is without any question the best beach on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. There is also a free town fishing pier a few yards away. Finally the town of Cape Charles is an excellent little Bay Side town with a cut hotel and some very nice shops and... More

Picturesque pier and beautiful sandy beach! Has a Virginia "LOVE" sign made of fishing and crabbing gear. Lots of parking and just a short walk from the main street that runs downtown

So this is not a big beach but it is very well kept. There is one small bathroom area with 2 bathrooms and they were a little gross but maybe it was just our timing. Our kids changed out in the car so with that the beach itself was very quaint. No waves and very shallow so perfect for small... More

Our family loved this beach. Even when it was busy, there was still plenty of room for our family to spread out. We couldn't have asked for better water conditions for our two little ones (4 & 2 years old). The water was shallow, warm, and didn't have any scary drop offs like the ocean often does. Free and close... More

Hey bae as us locals say. This is the beach to go to if your in the area. It's free to go.. Free parking. And free sunshine. Expansive beach and beautiful calm water. Just make sure you can carry what you bring walking a long distance in the sand. Other than that.. Enjoy

When planning this vacation I wanted to pick a location that was fun and safe for my three year old daughter and this place proved to be just that! I liked the fact that the beach wasn't necessarily crowded even on a fourth of July weekend. The gentle waves allows you to stay in the waters for however long you... More

Fabulous for toddlers and young children to play in the sand, net teeny fish, find little snails and hermit crabs at low tide. For teens & adults, local company will deliver kayak or paddle board right to where you are on beach for rental! Beautiful sunsets almost every single night with nice breeze. Free fishing pier (no license necessary). Would... More

On the Bay side, the water is calm, the sand is white and the beach is clean. There were very few people on the beach at the beginning of June, but I expect that is it not really crowded later in the season either. We really enjoyed our time there with the family. I would be happy to go back... More
