Lots of great exhibits on the range of air and space items. The Space Shuttle, Enola Gay, and the SR-71 are obvious highlights. The have a tower to watch air traffic, a IMAX theater with scientific and Hollywood films showing, and a restoration hangar. The also have a few simulators for an extra charge. The museum is free, but parking... More

We went for a few hours and really liked the different types of aircraft from space to normal airplanes. My daughter especially liked the transformer part. It was a great way to spend a few hours and would definitely recommend it.

Great Establishment with a remarkable collection of missiles, airplanes and space gear from different eras. Nice souvenirs for the kids could be bought on site. The flight simulators are good fun. Parking costs $15 per car for the full day.

I'm a DC local and have visited all the Smithsonian museums many times, and this is my least favorite. If you absolutely love looking at planes, helicopters and the space vehicles, you'll want to go once. But aside from the sheer size of the hangar and the number of planes displayed, there is nothing special about this museum. There is... More

This is my second visit. This time I had enough time to look at at everything that they have to offer. It appears that they are always making improvements and adding new displays. The facility is clean, staff is exceptional. I highly recommend going if you have an interest in Air and Space

Went to visit this Museum last week. It was so cool! While I didn't think I was into the aeronautical theme I did know that I wanted to see the Space Shuttle Discovery! Well that thing was just shy of amazing! Actually the entire museum sparked my interest in planes, helicopters, gliders, war units, space units, etc. So much to... More

This annex of the Air and Space Museum is well worth the visit. Though entry is free, if you drive you will need to pay for parking. It has a lot of air and space craft on display, as well as an imax theater and simulators. If you go plan on spending at least half of the day.

I'm not a huge airplane fan, but I LOVED this museum. So many types of air and space travel from early wood and canvas planes to the blackbird jet. The Enola Gay is here. My favorite was seeing the space shuttle Discovery. You can get very close to it. Admission is free but there is a $15 parking fee. Well... More

The smarts of man whom God created are on display in each aircraft from the very old ones to the latest space exploring ones.
