Monticello lives up to its reputation as a must-see part of Virginia. It's a fascinating place, simply because of the numerous inventions and personal touches created by Jefferson and his craftsmen. The first floor is always open for tours and are easily accessible for people...More

Very enjoyable and educational tour of Thomas Jefferson's home. The tour is fairly accommodative to those with physical disability. A great opportunity to connect with the past especially with a U.S. President of such importance. Visiting the graveyards was quite impactful and a time for...More

Pros-Interesting, historical and fascinating. Thomas Jefferson was definitely ahead of his time. Cons-Not really any...just beware of course it is alot of walking..and I went in "winter" The gardens would be quite worth your time especially when they are in full bloom!

This does not need a long review. It is not over rated. The only president's home to a UNESCO site. Jefferson was a genius and his house reflects that.

Excellent example of life in the late 1700's. Jefferson's architectural masterpiece and lifelong work. Beautiful views, phenomenal location. Take a tour of the house if this is your first visit.

Monticello is an excellent destination to learn about our country's history and about our 3rd president, Thomas Jefferson. Be sure to pay for the more expensive "Behind the Scenes Tour" to see the upper floors and rotunda room.

I did not notice any within Monticello itself. The furniture is of a historical nature and blocked from being used by visitors.
