Living next VA largest state park is great. A nice quiet place to visit, hike, boat and bike ride. Also have a variety of events including concerts, plays, contemporary music.

Our kids enjoy the hiking and just being out in nature like us. Trails are maintained. We also enjoy the paddle boat rentals.

We made a quick visit to the park to hike about and look for wildlife yesterday. We saw a turtle and many deer. The park covers over 7000 acres and has many hiking and bike trails. Lots to do and enjoy.

Yes. There are 2 campgrounds, they both will accommodate campers, the older campground has more shade but will take a small camper, the new campground will take large campers but has less shade. Reservations recommended.
