We Make Science FUN. The Danville Science Center delights all ages with its hands-on exhibits and special programs that make science fun for everyone. During butterfly season (April-October), don't miss the beauty of the Butterfly Station and Garden - one of only a few butterfly greenhouses in Virginia.

The Danville Science Center has two main buildings. The more modern building offers science interaction exhibits for children around ages 8-15. Adults will find it informative as well. The domed theatre is a special treat and reasonably priced. The older railroad station museum across the...More

Very nice traveling exhibits. All other exhibits, quite dated. The train part of the museum is very nice with super knowable staff.

The title, Excellent Multi Generational Museum sums up my first thoughts when giving this review. There's something for every age group. It is a bright, fun, educational place to spend a morning with family.

We took our son here! He absolutely loved it and we can't wait to go back with both of our kids. He really enjoyed looking at everything and all the hands on activities as well.

Went here with my better half's family for an afternoon. The museum is actually in a couple of buildings including the train station. There is a butterfly garden, a railroad caboose, several hands on exhibits for the kids and a domed planetarium show. Good family...More

Every time I am in Danville I take my daughter here. It had a wide variety of things to see and other interactive options to stimulate young minds (and older ones alike).

This is a really nice museum for a town this size. It is part of the Science Museum in Richmond. There are some great hands-on exhibits. It is next to the train station so that is fun. There are stuffed animals which could be off...More
