This was such an exciting day, to see all the tanks and hear their mighty roar! I only wish there were more tank to admire. The amount of information you can absorb from all the history in this building could take many more than their 'average' 2-4 hour stay.

This is more a collection than a curated museum, but it well worth seeing if one has any interest at all in mechanized warfare. Lots of armored vehicles, a few of very significant historical value; layout is in several large rooms, so there is plenty of room to move about. A few vehicles can be touched, which a real bonus,... I surprised my husband (an avid fan of tanks with a visit to this museum today. He loved it. We're not the fans of tanks that he is but my daughter and I surprisingly enjoyed it as well. Huge museum. Had far more military memorabilia than we expected. I would recommend this museum to anyone interested in this genre. We... More

There is a large collection of war machinery here. It doesn't really compare to the European tank museums, but that is to be expected since we are an ocean away from where the fighting took place. Nevertheless, they have a good selection of equipment. There is quite a variety to see. The staff is quite helpful if you have questions.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the tank museum. I only wish we had started earlier in the day as we were still looking around when the notice came over the PA system that they were closing. We saw so many uniforms, guns, tanks, etc. that we were amazed at how they had accumulated all of it. Everyone should visit.

My wife brought me to the tank museum for our monthly date day. I was blown away by it's size. Great collection!!! So much history. The owner rides around on his tricycle and talked about the collection. Spoiler alert they have a German panzer. One of the deadliest and most feared tanks of WW2. It is worth way more than... More

Visited here for the first time today and we absolutely loved it. My son especially loved the awesome gun collection. The owner came by several times asking if we had any questions and he was so much fun and we loved hearing all the info about his collection.it is so extensive you could easily spend all day here. It's only... More

not exactly the most friendly or welcoming management team. There are some 'one of a kind' armored vehicles in their collection. It's a shame the location is also off the beaten path.

My wife and I and another couple were visiting Danville for a weekend and decided to visit the American Armored Foundation, Incorporated Tank Museum. I had heard that there is a tank museum and as a retired army veteran, I was interested in seeing the museum. The museum is in a massive 300,000 square foot facility. It has thousands of... More

We visited this museum because our son is a tank fanatic. My daughter and myself, not so much. My husband is a history buff (enough said). Shockingly we all were equally impressed by the sheer size and plethora of knowledge that is within the walls of this place. The soldier's uniforms, the medals, the pictures in many genres, and the... More
