I'm just so daddgum mad about this "museum". They don't let you fire a single damn gun! I tried to bring in my own but they says you cain't do that neither! Hogwash. The one positive is the cafeteria serves up a mighty fine mess...More

They have a video of a guy with a musket terrorizing a corporate office. Everyone just left the office while the guy was reloading. Would not let me shoot a AR-15 with a bump-stock either.

One of my relatives and her partner were visiting Virginia, and they stayed with us. He is really "into" guns and weapons, in general, and we live near the NRA headquarters building so, I asked if they wanted to go to the museum, and he...More

Incredible selection of guns from earliest to most modern. Fantastic journey through history. The 'Guns of Hollywood' exhibit is the best.

They have thousands of firearms, some dating back to the 15th Century, including matchlocks, wheel-locks, and flintlocks all the way up to modern firearms. They have a large selection of firearms that had been in popular movies. The firearms are grouped together by type and...More

Overall I was impressed with the museum. While it is a bit confusingly laid out (we were not sure where to start and there wasn't a logical flow to the exhibits), there are some amazing exhibits here. We particularly enjoyed the Vietnam and WWII exhibits,...More

For firearms history buffs like me, more cool stuff than I can shake a stick at, way too many to list or recall here, so I’ll just name a few: the .44 AutoMag, Dirty Harry’s Smith & Wesson Model 29 .44 Magnum, the Beretta 92F...More

I would recommend calling the headquarters for best directions as it is outside of DC in Fairfax, VA and I am not sure there is a close Metro station: (703) 267-1600. They should be able to assist you best.
