The owners are true connoisseurs of wine. They travel to Italy every year, so they definitely know good wine! The wine *and* the wine-tasting chateau at Villa Appalachia is Tuscan-inspired. It's right off the Blue Ridge Parkway and their wine is of much higher quality...More

Wine was better this visit and we just loved the cheese platters. Also they could work more on the grounds of this property. It has so much potential. Could be really beautiful.

Great Italian wine in Virginia. Each wine we tasted was surprisingly European. The location is set beautifully in mountains with a wonderful view.

They have tastings of wine and olive oil with oven fired pizza and other weekend offerings. Sometimes entertainment.

Villa Appalaccia offers my favorite finds. It's not over populated with tourists, those that come are there for the savory exploration, views and Italian revelry. The Bocce court and italian style courtyard were favorites of ours.
