Get there early as it gets busy on the weekends! Very nice views from the top and challenging hike! The bathrooms were out of order, but there were porta pottys on site.

I can't say enough good things about the Parc Régional de Mont Ham. Our family planned a day hike there without knowing what a gem this place is. I was expecting a parking lot and some trails, but it was way more than that.

The chalet where you pay to enter the park is a lovely building with a little shop, toilets, showers, cooking and washing facilities, wood stove, comfortable chairs and an Abenaki cultural exhibit. The place has the feel of a ski lodge and, in fact, is open for cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.

Outdoors, there are fire pits, picnic tables, benches, and a fun obstacle course. Many visitors were enjoying picnics in the sun after their hikes.

The summit of Mont Ham is interesting because it is a large rocky expanse with no trees which is odd at this elevation. You also get amazing 360 degree views.

The are a few different trails to access the peak. We took the most challenging intrepid trail up and then descended the Panorama Trail. Our family hiked up in under an hour and it took an hour or so to descend. We spent almost 30 minutes at the summit because it was so nice.

I look forward to going back here to hike and even camp in the hike in campground they have.

Breathtaking views with amazing / challenging trails

The trail is by itself a wonderful thing to do. The park has all services you need (including showers ($2/8min), Microwave, Washer/Dryer, Playground, Camping sites, etc).
The entrance is $7 which is totally worth it. The trail (RED) is challenging and you need to use the hanging rope (not that difficult) at some points. It is not a long hike.
Just go and enjoy this hike / park. It is super amazing. You will love every second (if good weather).

The staff was great and very helpful too. Also they speak both English and French.
