This cavern was mostly formed by water. Most of the formations are mediocre at best. Very few stalactites and stalagmites compared to other caverns like Shenandoah. But the way the water created the caverns is interesting since was like walking in a canyon underground. What we really came to see is at the end of the tour. Anthodites are speleothems... More

Just a great place to visit that is not over commercialized! We love that mom and pop feel and walking into these caverns is a treat. Guides are always excellent, you are not rushed through and its always a blast. Thank you!

This is a great place to visit. I remember going there as a child and enjoyed it then and now. Temperature is the same year round. Great place to cool off in summer. Tour guides are very informative

My mom and dad use to bring us here as kids..decided to bring my daughter and her college roommate along for my daughter's birthday. It brought back such great memories for me..if you never ever get a chance to see the Caverns, it would be a big loss to you...they are beautiful.

When planning a visit to the caverns, be sure to bring a coat as it is a balmy 54 degrees down there. I forgot to bring a coat but the guide, Brooke, offered me one of her two coats. The caverns are very interesting with formations everywhere. The tour only accesses a small section of the overall caverns but you... More

This is a great hour long tour of caves minutes from the Shenandoah National Park. Our tour guide Naomi who was very knowledgeable but could project her voice better to be heard. It was very pretty and we got a lot of nice pictures.

We really liked this, partly because it didn't take so long. It was about an hour and 15. Afterwards the kid went to the dragon maze and they specifically got a staff member to open it for us. Our guide (Meghan I think) was pretty good. She was very knowledgable and keeps it going. I wish she had spoken up... More
