We wanted to love this beach, but it was rather large, with a big parking area (a plus) but also didn't have the charm of a local, more hidden beach. It was fairly busy with a smaller area to swim in. We didn't stay long....More

This would be wonderful spot if it weren't in a undesirable neighborhood. I would go to another beach instead.

Nice beach, not too crowded. The place has paddled boat, jet skiing, and a boat to take you out to fish earlier in the morning. Nice playground for younger kids and swing for people with special needs.

thugs and their whores trashing the beach and nieghborhood. Pity the people that live there. If you do decide to risk a visit, be prepared to see drug dealers, crack whores, trash, and lots of other illegal actions, from the minor (grilling when it clearly...More

We went to the beach with two young children and we had a blast. When we got there we found a place to sit very close to the rocks and within ten minutes I spotted dolphins right there. I'm going to try to upload the...More

Very clean beach. Lots of vendors near by selling food and ice cream. The beach offers alot of picnic areas, and photo opportunities. Soon to offer jet skiing. Totally enjoy myself everytime. Parking can be a hassle on weekends so plan early.

They bulldozed the only hotel down this year. Nothing there now except water. It's a beautiful beach to spend the day though. The small waves are nice. I sure miss the Buckaroe beach I grew up with.

The beach was clean. A variety of people and people with friendly pets. Playground for children. I didn't venture to the restrooms so I can't give a report.

We went this past Saturday, it was very crowded, which I wasn't expecting based on reviews. Parking was scarce but we found a spot. We had to walk quite a ways to find a place to sit our stuff down. However, it was very nice...More

They are a few miles apart, so by car would take about 5-6 minutes. There are smaller beaches right at Fort Monroe as well. Fort Monroe is also great to walk around or even go fishing.
