Great park with lots of farm animals. Really like the interaction and experience kids get by watching each of the animals in their habitat. When we visited the weather was slightly cool and the peacock was graciously dancing and entertaining a huge crowd. Tractor ride around the park looked like a fun option but it has a long waiting period... More

Fairfax county has made great improvements to the farm park. Though still smelly, which is unavoidable, it's a great place for kids and city folk alike.

No not by killing them (LOL) literally walk around in the early evening and say good night to the animals with your kids. This is what I did with my kids at Frying Pan a few years ago - and how cool is it to have a small working farm in the middle of NoVa suburbia? So whether you are... More

This place is so nice! Free admission, tons of animals, and babies too! Very nice info center, and huge farm with play tractors. Went on a very cold day and still enjoyed it. Will return again.

Great childhood playground! I grew up a mile from this beautiful park. There are many farm animals such as Percheron horses, cows, Turkey, pigs, sheep, and chickens the visitors can pet and handle. There are tours you can take of this working farm, play equipment for the kids and a house tour, hay rides, and animal exhibits. The Country Store... More

In a town filled with limitless options for organized team sports, indoor playgrounds, karate, swim lessons, music classes, and children's entertainers, I appreciate a break from all the hoopla. For me, this is Frying Pan park... a family friendly farm that is open to the public, also offering tractor rides, an old fashioned carousel, and playground area. I bring my... More

Whenever my family from SF comes to town we go to Frying Pan Park. It is just a short drive from my home and fun for the whole family. We go on the "hay" ride, merry go round and look at all the animals. Admission is free!

Not your usual park. This is a working farm with animals, a weekly farmer's market, and an October carnival with rides and games. You can get up close and pet the cows, horses, lambs, and pigs. They also work with FCPS supporting student volunteer work in the barns. The primary attraction though, is the weekly farmer's market. I hate to... More

We really enjoy Frying Pan Park. You can go see baby animals, buy fresh eggs and gifts at the shop, and there are horse events and farm tours depending on the schedule. The nearby Visitors Center has a neat little museum display about farm life, and there are concerts like bluegrass groups from time to time. It's educational, well kept... More
