Our experience was great for the entire weekend at the Homestead. Prior to our arrival, Jenny with reservations made sure that we had our dinners lined up and also answered every question we had about our stay. Once we got there, the entire staff was first class and we enjoyed every minute. We only ate at The Casino and Jeffersons,... More

We rented a house on property for a week with my dad. We cooked most of our meals and enjoyed the space of a full home vs a hotel room. Only downside was no room service! :) We played tennis, hiked, went to afternoon tea, swam and ate in the main dining room. The rocking chairs on the front porch... More

This is a wonderful, incredibly well-appointed resort in the old-school mode. Their restaurants are great and the spa is NOT TO BE MISSED. Something about the place brings out friendliness. We sat by the fire in one of the lobby's fireplaces on a cold winter night and talked to many people who just happened by. This was our second stay... More

So amazing and especially at Christmas. The hotel is so beautiful and the staff was amazing. The rooms are very quaint and personal and the hotel has everything! Skeet shooting, horse riding, archery, ice skating, and the spa is one of the best that I have ever been to. I will be going back.

The Homestead is decadent. Expectations are high. We have been here before and hope to come back. It's beautiful, luxurious. But there are some things we are amazed by that they need to fix. Many of the beautiful rooms were either too hot or too cold to actually use. There is a beautiful billiard room with perfect tables but sub-standard... More

We just returned home to NC from our second annual visit to the Homestead. I think what keeps us coming back is the gracefulness of the hotel itself, its history, and the wonderful hospitality. I hope to come back next year.

We cancelled a trip to St. Thomas due to logistical challenges and at the last minute booked some rooms at The Homestead. With six kids, traveling and logistics are always a challenge, but the staff at The Homestead, from reservations to house cleaning, were awesome. We enjoyed a nice buffet for Thanksgiving which was perfect for families with kids. The... More

Having stayed at other upscale resorts, The Biltmore, Grove Park Inn and Greenbrier, I was prepared to sit in a chair and relax while waiting to check out; but nothing could have been further from the truth during our wonderful Thanksgiving spent at The Homestead. Whoever came up with the idea of taking this 250 year-old resort and orienting it... More

Beautiful hotel soaring out of the mountains. That is, you drive and drive asking where on Earth am I going and then all the sudden - boom - the Omni Homestead appears. What an absolutely gorgeous setting and when you think of all the history, it's humbling. Lots of rocking chairs on the expansive front porch where you will find... More

Such a gorgeous location, so classically beautiful with wonderful furnishing and decor. However, this morning I took a cold shower, as did many people staying near us. One of two elevators is not working, making it difficult to get up and down with a conference crowd. Back to our room, the HVAC system looks to be very old, and makes... More
