We spent a day hiking and swimming at the park. We liked it so much that we went ahead and put a deposit down on renting one of the cabins next year. The beach was clean and the water was still really nice for swimming...More

This is a great location for a day out with the family. There are plenty of picnic sites. The beach area is very nice. The lake is beautiful. The bath house facilities were very clean and conveniently located new the beach area.

My sons and I went to the beach area and hiked on of the trails. The beach was very well maintained, the changing areas were clean, and I loved the small snack bar there.

Fine as VA state parks go. Good place for camping. Nice place for fishing. Fine place for picnicing. There are better places to recreate on the lake for sure but if you are looking to camp, then it's a good place.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin at the park and wasn't expecting such nice accommodations. It was fully air conditioned, relatively bug free, and spacious enough for 3 adults and 2 children. The only thing that might be tricky for guests at the cabin...More
