Beautiful period mansion and grounds. We go to the VA Hound Show there every year. The grounds are kept beautifully, the house is magnificent. Lots of history there. Would be a fairytale to live there.

Nice public park for a walk, didn't get to go through the mansion because I got there too late although I did walk about the grounds. Nice bathroom facilities at the parking lot near the mansion.

Absolutely beautiful setting for a wedding, even down to the white horse carriage for the bride and groom. Walking around the property and visiting the governors mansion was a nice experience. Pictures turn out beautiful in the garden.

Yes there's plenty of picnic tables, and benches. After you enter go to the left and you will see a large parking lot. There's tables there. Enjoy!
