I attended an outdoor wedding in this lovely venue. It was a beautiful scene to watch the groom and his parents, bridal party and finally the bride exited the manor house and walked down a stone path to the canopy with a backdrop of gorgeous trees. I could only imagine in a couple of weeks when the autumn colors change... More

There are some landscaped gardens behind the house, (normally not open to public), plus a walk down to a pond or a more level walk around fields with little bird houses. Main walks plus criss-cross trails through the woods give you a choice of keeping your shoes clean or hiking a bit.

This park was a nice find as it has some very nice little trails that are well marked though a little muddy after almost 3 weeks of rain. The park is very small though and it doesn't take very long to walk any of the trails. The whole park seems to be more geared towards being a venue for weddings.... More

We had our Indian baby shower here a few weeks ago and we couldn't have made a better choice. We had 60 family member guests so we couldn't do something more low key at home. The venue is gorgeous, a historic home that is well maintained by NoVa Parks and the grounds are beautiful. They also have a permanent tent... More

As others have said, this is a great peaceful nature preserve in the middle of town. There is also another side of it.... the kids programs! My son (Parker) has been involved with the kids programs (fresh air kids) there on Friday mornings for about 3 years. Alas, he is now too old to go. The programs are for preschoolers.... More

Lovely spot for an outdoor wedding. The mansion was stately inside and the grounds beautiful - especially the large tree that provided the backdrop for the wedding ceremony. Lovely gardens, shaded areas and veranda for cocktails and mixing with guests. The walks down to the tented area were somewhat tricky for ladies with heels.

Absolutely loved visiting the place last weekend on a very sunny day, the greenery is so soothing and the chirping of the birds is so peaceful. Pack some lunch and enjoy it by the lake... Absolutely recommend!

This is a great little place to get a little history fix as well as enjoy scenery, nature and peace. I've been here several times and always come away feeling a little more 'alive.'

Rust is a delightful small sanctuary, nearly hidden by all the encroaching residential development. The trails are well-marked and the pond a restful spot. A sure spot for some wildlife.
