Take a walking tour on your own in old historic downtown Leesburg. Go at your own pace and check out all the very old buildings, many with historical significance. There are also many, many little shops to visit, some with things you may not have...More

Neat historical town in North Western Virginia. Lots of old historical buildings. Bike/walking path goes all the way to DC. Many restaurants and places to visit. If in the area you must stop for at least a walking tour.

The area is historical in nature, the few shops are "one of a kind" with one antique store remaining. Many of the shops have been replaced by breweries and wine tasting bars. If this is what you're looking for, you'll be in the right place.

We've always enjoyed Historic Leesburg, for its small-town atmosphere, its eateries, the Civil War history, the special events, and the role that it took in rebuilding Europe after WWII. This is a great way to spend a day.

We walked around a bit, and ate dinner. We wished there would have been more stores to visit, though.
