The Lee Chapel and Museum, on the campus of Washington and Lee University, is a beautiful tribute to a General Robert E Lee, a great man. LEE CHAPEL FACILITY: Beautiful and somber. Upon entering the building, you find yourself in the impressive chapel, which was built while Lee was president of the university at his request. There's even a plaque... More

The campus and the building are really beautiful. The chapel is something to experience as is the carving of Lee. The museum downstairs is well worth a visit. Recommended anyone interested in history.

Washington and Lee University has a gorgeous campus and rich history as one of the older institutions of higher learning in Virginia. Lee assumed the presidency of Washington College and held it until his death in... More

Nice memorial of Robert E. Lee The marble statue of him laying in repose is amazing. It's neat to know the entire Lee family is buried under the chapel.

I was very humbled to visit the the lee family crypt. A nice short tour of the chapel was nice. I was surprised to see all the artifacts preserved from the Lee family and his office.I was taken aback by the gift shop that's 15 ft. Away from the final resting place of the Lee family.I found this to be... More

This is a very respectful, beautiful and and reverent respect to post Civil War General, Robert E. Lee who dedicate his last 8 years to education and smooth transition back to one nation. The chapel, upstairs is beautiful with a breathtaking statue of Robert E. Lee, as he laid in state at the university who who would one day bare... More
