Stroller, bike, feet, dogs, anything goes for great exercise and nature study, etc. Close to where most folks live. Watch popular times as parking can be a trick at access points.

We love walking on this trail. Much of it is shaded, you get to walk over the bridge and see a great view of the James and the downtown skyline, and you can get your picture taken in front of the LOVE sign in Lynchburg!

Safe, easy trails. You can go off trail to river if you want. Great for biking, walking, jogging. Cool things to see along the way. Love the “locks” display. Family and pet friendly.

Nice well maintained trails, do not recommend going after dark. Pet friendly. A mix of sun and shade, places to sit in certain areas. Some places along the trail have places you can walk down to the river. Great place to have picnic as well.

This is a beautiful, paved walking, bicycle trail that crosses over the James River on an old railroad bridge and leads you onto an island in the middle of the river. Trees abound so there is plenty of shade. Very peaceful and enjoyable. A perfect...More

I love to go jogging here with my daughter. The path is safe and open and great for biking as well. If you want a nice place for just a casual walk I highly recommend the scenery on the trail

It is up near Amazement Square and Depot Grille. There is also a skateboard park near there as well.
