Trip to the winery

A very pleasant winery, with fireplace, seating inside and out. Very nice wines to choose from, as well as plates to share.

Stopped here on a nice February Saturday, and was surprised that it was not more crowded. The facility is nice, although I did not care for the separate tasting bars. If my wife had been with me, she would have opted for a different tasting and it would have been complicated. I did the Cellar Tasting, which was $15 for... More

As I followed my GPS to Chateau O'Brien, I thought it had gotten me lost u till I zig-zagged my way over the railroad tracks on to their private drive. As it was a Monday morning, I was the only one there and had the tasting room to myself. The gentleman who served me was very friendly and knowledgeable about... More

We stopped by and were greeted by the owner. We got to see the original property that he bought and enjoyed learning about the changes that he's made. We did both tastings and enjoyed the staffs knowledge and friendliness. They have some unusual wines you ain't see anywhere else and the property and views and great.

We so enjoyed our tasting here. All of the wines were wonderful. The view is beautiful. The owner is knowledgeable and friendly. We felt right at home. A great place to go to really taste superior wine and learn from a passionate owner who takes pride in his craft.

There is an ambiance and a charm from this winery from the moment you navigate the entrance. Who doesn't love a French themed chateau with a stunning view (Rt. 66 hardly disturbs)? The owner welcomed us, and his staff really did a nice job in a crowded tasting room. There are actually two tasting rooms; we chose the less expensive... More

We did both tastings at this vineyard. They (oddly) separate their red and white wines in 2 different tasting rooms. The white tasting is $8. The red is $15. Even though we were put off by paying for 2 tastings, that said they were the best wines we have had in Virginia. Every wine was well crafted and delicious. They... More

The owner, Howard is always very personable. He has a great selection of wines to taste. He has a great view. This is our third time here over the years. We really enjoy his apple wine. Will be back to do a wine dinner.
